Colorado gets three hundred days of sunshine. During the thirty-five days we were in Japan, we only saw the sun for two of those days. While we enjoyed the snowy wonderland of Japan, we definitely missed the sunshine. Continue reading Mt. Yotei

Touring around Furano
While Niseko boasts many options for touring or in-bounds riding, it’s not the Japan we came to see. The base area of Niseko might as well be Aspen or Vail, just with a few more noodle options. Additionally, with so many Westerners flocking to the area (us included) English is widely spoken and businesses accommodate to travellers. Sapporo Brewing, Snow Festival and Ramen!
When we first started planning our trip to Japan, I noticed that it lined up with the Sapporo Snow and Ice Festival. The festival is arguably one of the best in Japan and draws more than two million visitors, so naturally we had to check it out!
